In Star Wars Unlimited Trilogy, each player builds three different decks. Each deck follows the same core structure as Premier format, with exactly 1 leader, exactly 1 base, and a minimum of 50 cards in the draw deck. The key difference is that you may only include up to 3 copies of any given card across all three decks combined, rather than 3 copies in each deck. Each of your three decks must also feature a different leader and a different base. Beyond those restrictions, the entire Star Wars Unlimited card pool is legal, giving you the freedom to build three unique decks and bring a full trilogy of strategies to the table.

Each match begins with a Ban Phase. You and your opponent reveal your three leader-base pairings, then each secretly selects one opposing deck to ban. Once those bans are revealed, the chosen decks are set aside for the rest of the match. Each player then secretly chooses one of their two remaining decks for game one, and those choices are revealed at the same time.

Trilogy is a best-of-three format with an extra strategic twist: whenever one of your decks wins a game, that deck is set aside and cannot be used again for the rest of the match. To win the match, you need to earn victories with both of your unbanned decks. That structure tests more than just deck construction. It rewards smart planning, flexible play, and mastery across multiple matchups, making it a standout choice for Star Wars Unlimited tournaments at Cape Fear Games.
