In 2013, the strategy game RUSSIAN RAILROADS conquered the hearts of ‘hardcore’ gamers and railway enthusiasts alike. It is a game that challenges. Simply playing along and relying on luck is not an option here – at least not for those who play to win!

In 2014, it even won the German Games Award and is gaining fans all over the world. The expansions GERMAN RAILROADS and KOHLE (2015) were released, followed by AMERICAN RAILROADS (2016) and several mini-expansions. Almost all copies were soon sold out. To answer the worldwide calls from players for a new edition, we sat down together. And because we wanted to offer something special, we made ‘everything new’! Okay, maybe not everything – the game is still the same. In addition to a few adjustments, the ‘jewel’ of this long development is a new, really big expansion: ASIAN RAILROADS.

As many adjustments were only possible with an overhaul of the entire layout, we wanted to take the opportunity to offer long-time fans added value. Everything is modular and you can now combine all elements freely for the first time. This strategic tidbit became so big and extensive that a new name was needed: ULTIMATE RAILROADS was born!
